Japanese born pianists, Yuki and Tomoko Mack, have dazzled audiences on three continents. They have performed in many international festivals, including Gilmore International Piano Festival in Michigan (United States), Great Lakes Chamber Music Festival in Michigan (United States), Chamber Music Society of Detroit in Michigan (United States), Quebec International Music Festival in Canada, to name some.
Their performances include a broad range of piano works spanning anywhere between chamber and orchestral music. After winning strong recognition as soloists, Yuki and Tomoko partnered to form the award-winning piano duo, ‘The Mack Sisters’.
Together, they’ve won top prizes in several national and international competitions, and have been featured in keyboard festivals across the globe. Beyond the main-stage, they’ve performed live on the radio in Sweden, Italy, Poland, and the United States.
In Chicago, Yuki and Tomoko performed on multiple WFMT radio programs, such as the ‘Dame Myra Hess Series’ and ‘Live from Studio One’. Currently, the Mack Sisters reside in Michigan where they’ve established themselves as highly sought after performers, educators, and recording artists. Every summer they teach and perform at the International Piano Music Festival in Naleczow, Poland.
In 2006, they were selected as Steinway Artists – joining an impressive roster of world renowned pianists; in 2017, they won ‘Top Teacher’ awards by Steinway & Sons; and their unique sense of interpretation and flawless technique can be found on their highly acclaimed collection of four-hands piano recordings, such as ‘Rhapsody’, ‘American Mosaic’, ‘Fantasy’, and ‘Danse Montage’.
